Her mother and Bettie Joe, with two neighbors, rushed to the scene, to find her lying at the foot of the tower, unconscious. She was rushed to the Hospital at Sparta, where she passed peacefully away at 5:00pm." She was a member of Liberty Knob Baptist Church.
She leaves 12 siblings: Mrs. Ruth Fox, Thelma, Bettie Joe, Herman, Sam, Raymond, Edward, Dwight, Andy, Mack, George Jr, Clyde, and R. C. Funeral services were held at Cherry Lane Baptist Church.
